The New York Strip steak is one of the two sections that form the porterhouse/T-bone cut of meat. The strip steak is the t-bone steak without the bone. The sirloin steak is the longer section on the porterhouse and the filet is the shorter/rounder section on the other side of the bone.
This prized cut is renowned for its delicious, consistent marbling. Perfect on the grill, broiled or pan-seared.
