- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spice level)

- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Directions
cooking instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: Make sure the shrimp are peeled, deveined, and patted dry with paper towels. This will help the seasoning adhere better.
- Mix the Seasonings: In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create the blackening seasoning.
- Coat the Shrimp: Place the shrimp in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle olive oil over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle the blackening seasoning over the shrimp and toss again until the shrimp are well coated with the seasoning.
- Heat the Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the melted butter to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom evenly.
- Cook the Shrimp: Once the skillet is hot, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and slightly blackened on the outside. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become tough and rubbery.
- Serve: Once the shrimp are cooked through, remove them from the skillet and transfer to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve immediately with additional lemon wedges on the side.
- Enjoy! Serve the blackened shrimp as a delicious appetizer or main dish alongside your favorite sides, such as rice, salad, or crusty bread.
