Wolf Fish Tacos

Ingredients

    blank

    • 1 lb wolf fish fillets, skin removed
    • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
    • 1 avocado, sliced
    • 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
    • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    • 1 lime, cut into wedges
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • For the marinade:
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 1 teaspoon chili powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

      blank

      1. In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the marinade - garlic, olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
      2. Place the wolf fish fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
      3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the fish from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
      4. Grill the wolf fish fillets for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and easily flake with a fork. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
      5. While the fish is resting, warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until they are lightly charred and pliable.
      6. To assemble the tacos, flake the grilled fish into bite-sized pieces and divide it evenly among the warm tortillas.
      7. Top each taco with sliced avocado, shredded cabbage or lettuce, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
      8. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos and season with salt and pepper to taste.
      9. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious wolf fish tacos with your favorite salsa or hot sauce on the side.
